Educational Qualification :
For Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer) : Intermediate or Senior secondary School Certificate (10+2) Examination from a recognized Board or equivalent and Shorthand @ 80 words per minute in English OR in Hindi for 10 minutes. Transcription of dictation in English in 50 minutes on computer OR transcription of dictation in Hindi in 65 minutes on Computer.
For Head Constable (Ministerial) : Candidate should have Intermediate or Senior secondary School Certificate (10+2) Examination from a recognized Board and Typing @ 35 words per minute in English OR @ 30 words per minute in Hindi on Computer.
Nationality : Indian
Age Limit : 18 to 25 years as on 01.08.2015
Age of Relaxation :
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe : 5 years
Selection Process : Selection will be based on Written Examination, Physical Standards Test, Short Hand Test & Typing Speed Test.
Application Fee : Candidates have to pay Rs.50/- by a Demand Drafl/Indian Postal Order as examination fee in favour of the addressee to whom the application is addressed. About Border security force bsf

Till 1965 Indias borders with Pakistan were manned by the State Armed Police Battalion. Pakistan attacked Sardar Post, Chhar Bet and Beria Bet on 9 April, 1965 in Kutch. This exposed the inadequacy of the State Armed Police to cope with armed aggression due to which the Government of India felt the need for a specialized centrally controlled Border Security Force, which would be armed and trained to man the International Border with Pakistan. As a result of the recommendations of the Committee of Secretaries, the Border Security Force came into existence on 01 Dec 1965, and Shri K F Rustamji was the first chief and founding father.
