Job Description Manager, Accounts & FinanceGeneral:Train colleagues and subordinates in specific areas of work.Review individual performances of his juniors and take corrective stepsby way of motivating and bringing resources up to speed.Regular interaction through emails, telephonic calls or personal meetingswith clients, their employees, their vendors, their bankers, theirconsultants and auditors.Preparing / Updating SOP and related files / records on timely basis.Maintaining Data Back up, confidentiality and SecurityAccounting:Verify the work carried out by Junior in the areas of accounting andfinancial statements, including entries in software packages. Reviewswould include accuracy of information and calculations, apart fromtimeliness of completion.Assisting in accounting for periodic accruals quarterly / six monthly /annualAdvising on any accounting entries or issues to his JuniorReview of monthly closing of books for MIS Reporting and taking care tosee adequate provisions have been made.Close books at year end, taking care to see adequate provisions have beenmade.After the year end and all the compliances are met (i.e. after audit andtax filings), ensure safe keeping of accounting records, documents,vouchers, files, etc.Reconciliations:Advising and ensuring all applicable reconciliations are timely carriedout by his Junior which would include items like Cash, Bank, Stock,Inter-company, Asset, Vendor (Party) Account, etc.Banking:Maintaining confidential information like password, token, etc. providedby bankers for online banking for checking bank statements, preparationof NEFT / RTGS facilities.Ensuring client policies are met and requisite approvals are receivedbefore making any disbursementsEnsuring sufficient treasury position and bank balance is maintained andtimely informing client on cash flow position and sending forecasts.Verify, authorize and timely disbursement of all payments including NEFT/ RTGS payment file prepared by teamReview of foreign remittances (A1 and A2) documents prepared by JuniorPayroll:Ensure salary information is kept confidential within the teamCoordinating with Clients HR team for obtaining Payroll inputs,instructions and requisite approvals before disbursements.Verifying and checking Payroll Register, Payslips, Cheques / Letter fordisbursement, etc. prepared by JuniorEnsure proper deductions on account of Income Tax, PF, PT, etc are madewhile processing payroll.Ensuring Payroll related records, registers, etc. are properlymaintained.Coordinating with Employees and resolving their concernsMIS Reporting:Prepare periodic reports on monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annualbasis as per client requirements (with assistance of Junior, if required)Assist Client in preparing BudgetsTimely submission of MIS ReportingStatutory Compliances:Verifying summary / statement prepared by Junior and authorizing monthlypayment of tax liability under applicable laws (like IT, TDS, ST, PF,VAT, PT, etc)Verifying details and periodic returns under applicable laws and ensuringtimely filingsVerifying TDS certificates and CA certificates for foreign remittancesVerifying details and submissions prepared for assessments / departmentenquiry, replying to notices, etc.Represent before assessing authorities for expeditious and timelycompletion of assessments.Audit :Preparation of audit documents including notes to accounts, directors'reports, etc.Co-ordination for audit requirements including finalising procedures forauditPreparing details of tax audits, transfer pricing auditsConduct internal audits, as requiredCorporate Law and Secretarial Matters:Drafting or Co-ordinating with lawyers / colleague for resolutions,minutes of meetings, filing of forms, etc.CompetenciesAttention to detail and accuracyPlanning and organisingStrong Communication skills (phone and emails)Ability to function as a team playerKeen desire to lead teamsOwnership of issuesStress toleranceSupervisory skillsTimely deliveryJob Summany - We are looking for a Manager - Accounts & Finance who hasthe potential to control the Accounting & Finance department of company,lead & train his team & should have good communication skills andleadership qualities
