The Annual Crime Review is being published by State CID, SCRB, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla. Efforts have been made to collect, present and analyze the data. Our Endeavour was to make available maximum details by way of statistical tables, graphs/charts and brief interpretation wherever possible. The job of data interpretation of crime is increasingly becoming important tool to forecast future trends for proper law enforcement and therefore, mere presentation of statistics does not serve the purpose anymore. It is our objective to collect accurate, meaningful and relevant statistics which would contribute towards formulation of focused Crime Control Policies in the State. It is hoped that this effort will go a long way in helping the police officers besides providing information to all stakeholders.
