IIM Rohtak aims at a rapid growth in its PGP programme. Its planning to start new programmes in the next few years. It has plans to grow to the size of globally respected schools of business at the fastest pace. It has taken several initiatives within the short time since its inception. In the first year itself it started its Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) batch with 50 students. In the second year of its existence (2011-12), it grew to a batch size of 120, a size which other institutions have taken much longer time to reach. For the first time in the history of IIMs, the four new IIMs at Rohtak, Raipur, Ranchi and Trichy had come together to conduct the PGP selection interview process together. IIM Rohtak had a big role in this new initiative. Now for 2012-13 admissions, the 6 IIMs are collaborating. IIM Rohtak is in the process of discussing with potential international partners including in the USA and its likely to come out with active international collaborations soon. It has a beading signed its first US agreement with the Indiana University, Kelley School of business, which is ranked in top 100 in the word. IIM Rohtak has also decided to set up an Advisory Council consisting of well-known corporate and academic personalities from internationally acclaimed organizations and institutions to guide in its exciting future plans.

IIM Rohtak is continuing with the process of recruiting faculty who will be the engine of its growth and progress. Its emphasis will be on teaching and research capabilities with capacity in executive education.
