About Kbb karnataka biodiversity board

The Board has been established by the Government of Karnataka vide G.O. No. FEE 125 ENV 2003 dated: 19-06-2003 as per provisions of Biological Diversity Act, 2002. The Karnataka Biodiversity Board has started functioning from 1-08-2003.

The prime objective of the Board is to foster the institutional setup for documentation, sustainable use and development of the rich biodiversity of the state.

BOARD Members Details
Government of Karnataka has formed a Board vide Govt. Order No. FEE 125 ENV 2003 dated: 21-11-2003 under the chairpersonship of Honble Minister for Forest, Ecology & Environment, Govt. of Karnataka. The Board comprises of Five official and Five non-official members each. As per Govt. order No. FEE 125 ENV 2003 dt 24/12/2009 the committee has reconstituted.
