Job Description
Nagaland Police invites applications from Naga Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland to appointment of 28 posts of ABSI (GD), UBSI(GD), ASI (GD) and S.I NPTO (Operational) on Pprmanent basis. The application is made in prescribed format only. Candidates should send application with relevant enclosures to given address on or before 31-07-2015. Candidates should read notification carefully and make ensure about meeting eligibility criteria Age Limit: born in between 31-07-1980 and 31-07-1997 Dates to Consider: The last date for receipt of application : 31-07-2015 upto 1700 hrs. Selection Mode: Selection will be made through exam/test, conducted at NAPTC, Police Complex Chumukedima, Nagaland. The date of recruitment test will be published in the local papers. Application Fee: Applicants are asked to submit Rs. 100/- along with application in case as examination fee.

About Nagaland police
The Nagaland Police Archives at Nagaland Police Training Centre, Chumukedima is a tremendous project of the uniformed department which is open to all for viewing. The archives, which came into existence on December 12, 2012 with special efforts and initiatives from former Director General of Police, Nagaland, O Alem, IPS and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bendang Lemtur, houses a huge number of priceless relics that speaks a great deal about Nagaland Police. The archive which has been renovated from time to time is a good platform where students can have a better glimpse about Nagaland Police and thereby making the profession more appealing to them. The one and only police archive in the state has different sections like Weapons, Gallantry Awardees, Uniforms, Nagaland Police Telecommunications, Memorabilia (includes souvenirs), Photos (includes fallen heroes and command), colour flag, audio/visual and reading space. For those weapon aficionados, the namesake section which has a collection of guns some of which are older than a century is an eye catcher. In this section, guns used in the World War II can also be seen properly oiled and cleaned for public display. Different varieties of rifles like Lee Enfield (303 rifle) (considered one of the most powerful hand held weapon during the WWII), AK 47&56 (the most manufactured and widely used assault rifle in the world), M16 (US Armys official rifle), Heckler and Koch and Dragunov (Russian origin sniper rifle with amazing shooting capability) are a splendid sight.
In the Sub Machine Gun (SMGs) section the grand old Thomson (used by the infamous mafias of US in early 1920s with exceptional burst firing performance), Sten Gun, Carbine, Grease Gun are in spectacular conditions. Light Machine Guns (LMGs) includes 303 LMGs and Madsen (1912, probably the oldest gun in the archives) gives a picture of ingenuity of the game changers in both the world wars. Hand guns such as the magnificent Colt Revolvers (widely used in Western cowboy movies), Colt Police Positive, Webley and Scott revolvers, Smith and Wesson, 9mm and Very Light Guns are rare and nicely put on show. Artillery equipments like Hand Grenades (those palm size apple-like things which soldiers in war movies throw after a quick bite), Rocket Launcher, Mortars, Improvised Explosives Device (IEDs) are also well preserved. In the gallantry awardees section different awards including Ashoka, Mahavir, Paramvir etc., shows the illustrious history of the states police department. Police uniforms donated by police officers including former Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police are well ironed and displayed which almost gives an impression that it is still being worn.
